Vodafone Idea [Vi] has recently launched a new prepaid recharge plan to its subscribers available at Rs. 351. The company listed the new plan under a ‘Work from Home’ pack exclusively for those who carry out their work from home. As of now, the company has been offering a couple of plans in the ‘work from home’ category. The newly rolled out Vi work from home plan of Rs. 351 offers 100 GB of high-speed mobile data for 56 days.
After rebranding to Vi, the company has rolled out a new prepaid plan for the first time in the country. In June, the company had rolled out a ‘work from home’ pack at Rs. 251. This pack offers 50 GB of data that can be accessed for 28 days. Now, with the official launch of Rs. 351 plan, the users can gain an additional 50 GB of data just by paying Rs. 100 extra.
Vi’s New ‘Work from Home’ Pack Limited to Specific Circles
The newly launched Vi Work from Home pack is only beneficial for utilizing internet services. This pack doesn’t offer any of the voice calling benefits or SMS to the users. The users can find both these plans on the official website of the company under the data section. As of now, the new prepaid recharge plan is only available to specific regions. The circles in which the new prepaid recharge plan has been made available include Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, and Delhi.
If you are in any of these circles, you will be able to access the benefits of Rs. 351 ‘Work from Home’ recharge pack. The company is planning to expand this Rs. 351 recharge plan to remaining circles soon. In the current consequence of the nation i.e., amid the COVID-19 crisis, most of the software firms and other companies have been preferring work from home. As a result, the maximum number of employees are doing work from home. In such a case, the users may need a high-speed internet facility for carrying out their office work.

Otherwise, you need to choose the main plan offering both data and voice calling benefits. In case, if you need additional data, you can buy this Rs. 351 recharge plan as an additional pack. When comparing the Rs. 251 and the new Rs. 351 prepaid recharge plans, it is better to pick the Rs. 351 plan. The reason is that this plan provides double the data compared to the previous plan. Moreover, you can save an amount of Rs. 151 and also gain an additional 50GB of data.
Vi to Rival Reliance Jio’s ‘Work from Home’ Plans
Meanwhile, the leading telecom operator Reliance Jio has rolled out exclusive work from home plans to its subscribers. To be in the race with the leading telcos like Reliance Jio and Airtel, it seems Vi has rolled out the new ‘Work from Home’ packs to the users. Reliance Jio offers work from home plans starting from Rs. 11, Rs. 21, Rs. 51, Rs. 101, Rs. 151, Rs. 201 and Rs. 251. All these plans don’t provide any validity.
However, these plans work until the expiry of the existing plan. All the telecom operators in India have been striving hard to attract the customers by rolling out exclusive prepaid recharge packs considering the current situation of the nation.
