The Korean smartphone manufacturer, Samsung has geared up to launch Samsung Galaxy Z Fold in India on 14th September 2020. The tech giant officially announced that the unique foldable smartphone will be available for pre-orders in a couple of days. Earlier, the company has unveiled this handset at the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 part 2 Virtual Event. During the event, the firm hadn’t disclosed the pricing details of this handset in India.
The firm has already commenced the pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone in the US. The much-anticipated launch of this gadget in India has been finally announced by the company. Samsung announced that the customers who pre-order this handset will be given some additional offers. The Samsung Z Fold 2 is the second device under the Fold series. It is the third handset launched by the Samsung sporting a foldable design.
The President and CEO of Samsung SWA, CEO Ken Kang said in an official statement that reads, ‘With the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, we are taking another bold step towards the future, creating newer, more intuitive experiences for our consumers.’ He further added, ‘India has shown its love for new technology by making our previous foldable smartphones a huge success.’

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 sports a 7.6-inch Full-HD foldable Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 120Hz refresh rate that offers a screen resolution of 1768×2208 pixels. This device also features a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Flex Display that offers a screen resolution of 816×2260 pixels on the cover. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+SoC processor paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 handset runs on the latest Android 10 operating system that sports One UI 2.5 on top. On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes equipped with a 12-MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 12-MP sensor with an f/2.4 telephoto lens, and a 12-MP sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens. On the flip side, the smartphone houses a 10-MP front camera on both the cover screen. The main display of the camera sports an f/2.2 lens. This front camera lets you capture the best selfies.
Speaking about the storage, this foldable handset provides internal storage of 256 GB. This device doesn’t provide expandable storage via a microSD card. The smartphone comes packed with a 4500 mAh battery and is compatible with fast charging abilities, wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare. To unlock the device, this smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
On the connectivity front, the foldable smartphone offers various connectivity options such as Bluetooth v5.0, a USB Type-C port, 5G, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi 6. Some other connectivity options include UWB and GPS/A-GPS. The weight of this 5G foldable handset is 279 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G smartphone will be available at Rs. 149999 in India. The company recently announced the pricing of this smartphone in India through a press release. The smartphone will be available for pre-orders starting from 14th September at 12 PM. As per the latest report, this handset will be available on the official site of the firm Samsung.com and in some of the popular retail outlets. This smartphone is available in two color variants such as Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze.
The interested consumers can begin pre-booking of the handset starting from 14th September. The firm announced that it will provide a no-cost EMI offer to the customers for 12-month installments on the pre-bookings done at Samsung Experience Store and the company’s site. Apart from this, the company also provides YouTube Premium free offer for 4 months and Microsoft 365 will also be available to the students at a discount of 22 percent. The company also announced that the customers can get the aforementioned offers upon the purchase of the 5G technology-enabled ultra-premium device.
