Jio Revises Rs. 501 ISD Recharge, Rs. 1,101 and Rs. 1,201 IR Packs Now Come With Reduced Benefits

Reliance Jio, the subsidiary of Reliance Industries has come up with revised plans for prepaid users. It has revised the prepaid recharge vouchers for international roaming [IR] and international subscriber calling [ISD]. Reliance Jio has diminished the benefits rendered to the prepaid users with these revised plans. As per the latest news, Reliance Jio, the service provider has revised the ISD recharge plan of Rs. 501 alongside the IR pack of Rs. 1101 and Rs. 1201.

On the official website of the firm, the company has listed the revised plans. The prepaid pack of Rs. 501 for ISD calls has been revised to a new pack that provides a validity of just 28 days. Through this pack, the Talktime that can be used by the prepaid users is Rs. 424.58. Previously, the users enjoyed a talktime of Rs. 551 with the same ISD prepaid pack. Besides curtailing the validity and talktime with this Rs. 501 ISD pack, Reliance Jio service provider has lessened the talktime benefits of IR recharge packs.

Previously, Reliance Jio provided Rs. 1211 talktime for the recharge pack of Rs. 1101. After the revision, the talktime has been reduced to Rs. 933.05. Under the IR pack of Rs. 1201, the Reliance Jio users earlier acquired Rs. 1321 talktime. But now, it has been revised to only Rs. 1017.80 talktime. With the prepaid ISD pack of Rs. 501, the users can make international calls to about 230 countries globally. On the other hand, the Reliance Jio subscribers can visit 100 and 170 countries through the IR prepaid packs of Rs. 1101 and Rs. 1201 respectively. 

The popular telecom operator, Jio has only revised the aforesaid plans. It hasn’t made any sort of changes to the remaining plans. The company hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the latest update. However, it is still vague that the company has made this revision to the aforementioned prepaid packs. There is no potential change to the existing unlimited IR packs such as Rs 575, Rs 2,875, and Rs 5,751. All these packs continue to offer similar benefits like before to the Jio subscribers.

In recent times, Reliance Jio has stopped offering Rs. 49 and Rs. 69 prepaid recharge plans to the JioPhone users in India. These plans that were offered earlier to the users provided 14 days validity. The prepaid plan of Rs. 49 earlier provided a total of 2 GB data for a month alongside offered 250 minutes for making Jio to non-Jio calls. On the other hand, the recharge plan of Rs. 69 for JioPhone users offered 7GB data alongside 25 free SMS for 14 days. 

These two were the cheapest recharge plans provided by the telecom operator to JioPhone users. Now, the company has discontinued these two affordable recharge packs for the users On the official website Jio.com and My Jio app, the users may not find these plans. Reliance Jio has been currently organizing a fundraising activity in collaboration with popular social media giants such as Facebook, Google, Silver Lake, and Qualcomm Ventures. 

As of now, the company has a total subscriber base of 39.8 crores across the country. To maintain it’s presence in India and develop its business, the company has started increasing a few of its tariffs and diminished the benefits.
